About

Chase Ingrande was born in Las Vegas, Nevada in February 1994. He likes comedy, food, music, dancing, acting, singing, painting, drawing, taking pictures, learning, and making people laugh.

In September of 2008, he moved to Idyllwild, California to develop his craft as an artist and performer at the Idyllwild Arts Academy. There, he pursued the Visual Arts Major for one year and a Musical Theatre Major for three years. He graduated from Idyllwild Arts in June 2012 and was the speaker on behalf of his senior class.

He moved to Chicago, Illinois in August 2012 to learn how to bring his talents into the world by studying a degree in Theatre at Columbia College Chicago. Joining the Columbia College Improv Club and the school's division of Titanic Players, Chase rediscovered his love of improv and hopes to grow in this field. He has also discovered a newfound joy in stand-up comedy, performing under the name MERMAID. In the Spring of 2012, Chase was cast as the role of Phillip in Arts & Crafts: A Web Series, an online show created by Columbia College students. The pilot has already garnered over 14,000 views on YouTube.

In 2013, Chase became a part of the brand-new Comedy Studies major at Columbia, majoring in a B.A. Degree in Theatre with a Comedy Writing and Performance concentration. He was selected one of three out of eighty people as one of the newest members of Columbia College's official improv team - Droppin' $cience. He developed WE CUTE: An Improv Experience, an improv troupe which performs around the Chicago area.

In 2014, Chase applied and was accepted into the Comedy Studies program at The Second City. In the fall, he participated in the program and performed in the Comedy Studies Final Showcase in December 2014.

In the words of his teacher, Jen Ellision: "Look for your next. Always be looking for your next."
